Aisha in South Korea

Packing, airport, delayed, injured, refund, sick, and Korean Air?

So I had a mini freak out on packing. There was just too much stuff so after some help everything worked out well. I even switched my carry-on bag and have a book bag (really beneficial). Though when I checked in my bags they couldn’t open the lock O.o it was super simple but I just handed them my key. Can’t believe they called me Brittany, granted it’s one of my middle names, but I never go by it. So then I found out my flight was delayed. Instead of leaving at 9:30am I didn’t get to leave until 11am. But I got to spend extra time with my family so it’s ok. Coming to find out the entire flight crew just went AWOL and no one knew what happened to them, so they sent a super fast jet to get us to Atlanta in 33 minutes. Once I got there I should have followed my first mind and go straight to the international concourse F. But no…I went asking people who work there and was in circles for over an hour. Then finally an elderly lady sent me the right way and said I should have been there 2 and a half hours ahead of time. How?! I was flying -.- Then she said it was boarding so I freaked and had to go waaaay to the other side of the airport. BTW what I did see of the airport was really nice, too bad I couldn’t enjoy it like I planned. :(

To be honest I thought I was doomed. I get there and they are not boarding at all (phew) I sign in lost my seat because you have to be there almost 2 hours ahead of time to lock in your chosen seat. So no window for me T.T but I enjoyed my seat. Oh and the lady (Eun Hee) refunded my $75 that I paid on Delta! I was like really? Thank you! She was super sweet. I met a girl that’s going to Korea University for the International Summer Campus so we talked until it was time to board.

When I got on we were greeted by the flight attendants and pilots. When I went to my seat someone was there, so they had the wrong one and had to move. A Korean guy who was studying in America helped me out. When I went to finally sit down I somehow hit my leg and it cracked loudly and let’s just say it was a lot of pain. I was afraid that I might not be able to walk too much, which wouldn’t be good at all in Korea. There’s a ton of hills since it’s a mountainous country. Anyways, I watched a Korean movie (can’t remember the name right now but it was good), the Vow, some K-pop music videos (I saw all of them before besides maybe 3?), then listened to the Japanese music channel and some more kpop. I really like Korean Air though it feels like they fed me too much in 14 hours. I had a ton of drink (hot tea, coffee, water, orange juice, and wine [yes I’m of legal age and I didn’t get drunk, if anything it just burned my throat and I got water afterwards]) it was insane. I felt sick a few times when it got hot. I don’t do well overheated at all. So that had me worried. But it was all yummy especially the Korean meat bun when I was waking up. It was like heaven. The flight attendants were beautiful just like off the commercials and made sure you were safe and comfortable. For 14+ hours in one spot I must say it was pretty good.
